VENUE: Shucker’s Patio

Every venue is unique. But there is simply none other in the Jackson Metro area quite like Shucker’s. Shucker’s has more musicians take one of its two stages in a single week than most venues have in an entire month. It’s one of those iconic places where crazy things can happen, even in the middle of the afternoon. For example, when some guy decided to turn his pet monkey loose on #TheDirtDeacons vocalist Keith Plunkett in the middle of a song.

The Dirt Deacons first show at the venue was January 8, 2021. Since then the band has enjoyed larger and larger audiences, both on the inside stage and outside on the patio stage. It’s always a good time, and never without a surprise or two.

The band counts friends at nearly every venue they play, but none any more so than Shuckers, and the patio is the place where friends come to meet, have a good time, and enjoy music. There are always videos being recorded and pictures being take. It’s like a family reunion. Join everyone Saturday, October 22 at 3:30 on the patio for what promises to be another good time to add to the dozens of others.

If you don’t have a good time here then you’re not trying!
